Gerardo Carrero

The story

He has been drawing since childhood and went on to study computer animation.

By day he teaches art. The painting happens at night.

He paints hyperrealism. The tiger is an extreme close-up, eye to eye, with the fur painted strand by strand. The original was a four-by-four-foot piece, and it sold for $5,000.

On Instagram he calls himself a storyteller through his paintings. He takes a limited number of commissions, from $2,500.
